In chess, when a pawn reaches the other side of the board, the piece is exchanged for a queen. This is called 'promotion'. However, the player does not necessarily have to choose a queen. The pawn can also be exchanged for a rook, knight, or bishop. Choosing one of these four weaker pieces is called 'underpromotion'. The vast majority of players choose the queen: approximately 96.9%. Only 0.02% of players opt for the bishop. Of these, the majority are simply jokes (called insignificant underpromotion), in cases where the game has already been won. Yet there can be extremely rare instances where underpromoting to a bishop is necessary to force a stalemate.

Bonus:
The French word for watermelon is pastèque, which dates back to Arabic بطيخه (batikha). In Quebec, the literally translated melon d'eau is more common.
